Blurred pixel art preview a.k.a. should I upload an image in its original size or upscaled?

I was going to upload one of my first pixel art pieces which is 32x32. First, I uploaded a upscaled version, since it was not super clear that I should post original size. But then I saw dimensions written on top of preview and it made me decide I am supposed to do the original (and also then I read tiny hint "Can zoom in to see the pixels without blurring, scales up by default" which assured me it has to be original size). Then I posted the original, but it is all blurry in both previews :(

thanks! I also created the second ticket to cover the other preview, which is also blurry: https://lospec.com/feedback/gallery-beta/p/blurry-pixel-art-preview-in-a-submission-form

this should now be fixed. now when you upload a piece of pixel art (an image with <=256 colors), it should show you 2 scale buttons, and the image shouldn't be blurry.

Ah, OK! I see now that thumbnail is generated in an upscaled size for a tiny pixel art. BTW same thing is visible on a gallery main page (which I guess, is strictly related, if same image is used there)

Update: I just uploaded that piece for testing purposes and I see I did OK by uploading an original size. So maybe this is lack of "image-rendering: pixelated" CSS or something like that?

there is currently an issue with thumbnail generation for pixel art, working on a fix!
